Australian researchers and businesses can receive up to $50,000 funding from the Morrison Government to take their products global under round four of the Global Connections Fund (GCF) Bridging Grants.
Minister for Industry, Science and Technology Karen Andrews said the grants are designed to strengthen international partnerships between small businesses and researchers.
A blood test designed to improve early detection rates of ovarian cancer is one of the projects to be funded under a new round of the Global Connections Fund from the Coalition Government.

The 29 grantees announced will receive funds totalling $1.422 million to support a range of early stage research translation/commercialisation activities including proof of concept, market testing and early prototyping of projects.

The Australia-China Young Scientists Exchange Program (YSEP) is a joint initiative funded by the Australian Department of Industry Innovation and Science and the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). It is supported by the Commonwealth of Australia under the Australia-China Science and Research Fund (science and research knowledge exchange). The 2016 exchanges will take place 25 July- 6 August (Chinese scientists to Australia) and 30 October-11 November (Australian scientists to China)
